Study Visit Veneto Region

A delegation of 18 professionals from the Veneto region In Italy visited Limburg (NL) from the 15th until the 17th of July. There were representatives of different organizations present: Director Health and Social Care Area, Director LEA and Primary Care Sector, Director Veneto University Hospital, Director Padova University Hospital, Directors of various Local Health Units (Hospitals) and a representative of the School of Public health and Health Management.

Under the guidance of euPrevent and the Province of Limburg, the delegation visited several locations in the South of Limburg. They were informed about hospital care, public health, primary health care and euroregional cooperation. Topics that were presented to the delegation were, positive health, cardiovasculair management, Ultra-High-Field MRI Tesla Scanners, the so-called ‘Blue care’ (Better care for less costs), how a high-tech patient-focused general hospital in Limburg looks like, the work of a public health authority like the GGD and how we work together in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine.

The study visit was much appreciated and we are invited to visit the Veneto region.
