Citizens’ summits on cross-border public health services

Several citizens’ summits funded by the Interreg Deutschland-Nederland project “euPrevent SHE” will be organized in Dusseldorf, Kreis Neuss, Kreis Viersen and Venlo). The goal of these citizens’ summits is to give the citizens living in border regions the opportunity to exchange their personal experiences, also cross border, regarding the topics of the public health services on both sides of the border; migrants, communicable diseases, healthy youth and difficult to reach groups and also with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The citizens’ summits will take place on a Saturday morning and will last about three hours (09:30-12:30), which include ½ an hour of general information, two hours of round table discussions, and a final wrap up of half an hour. The small groups of dialogue will be hold with the help of specially trained moderators. The citizens from different regions will be able to share their personal experiences and express their views in their own languages (Dutch and German respectively).

We are looking for about 25 citizens per summit. Therefore, the registration link will be closed once we have received enough registrations. The summits can take place either online or physically, depending on the national policies at the time of the event. This will be confirmed in a digital information leaflet two weeks before the actual event of the summit. Given the unforeseen circumstances, it will be useful for us to have your private address with the registration. However, the addresses will only be used for the purpose of the organization of the event, and not for any other purposes than the citizens’ summits.
