The project partners of the Euregional project ‘Sustainable Healthy EMRN’ (SHE) are pleased to invite you to the Kick-off on Thursday 28 January 2021. The project, which aims to achieve sustainable cooperation between the two countries, will then be officially launched.

What can you expect?

  • An introduction to Project SHE
  • How the project partners in the ERMN are and will be cooperating across borders
  • Inspiring pitches about the cross-border impact of COVID-19

The programme is as follows:

10.00 – 10.10 The programme is explained by the moderator Christian Zeelen, journalist at Antenne Düsseldorf.
10.10 – 10.20 Introduction of Project SHE by Jo Maes of EPECS and partner in the SHE project.
10.20 – 10.30 Short speech by Robert Housmans of the Province of Limburg and Dr. Andreas Coenen of Kreis Viersen.
10.30 – 10.50 Timm Schneider of the Robert Koch Institut (DE) and Henriëtte ter Waarbeek of the RIVM (NL) will outline the state of play of the fight against COVID-19 and give a short reflection of the communication in this.
10.50 – 11.00 Short break during which questions to the speakers will be collected.
11.00 – 11.10 Professor Stefan Wilm of Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf on the impact of COVID-19 on mental health.
11.10 – 11.20 Professor Christian Hoebe of GGD Zuid Limburg in Heerlen on the impact of COVID-19 in the border region in particular.
11.20 – 11.50 Discussion with the speakers. Questions can again be submitted via the chat.
11.50 – 12.00 Closure by Brigitte van der Zanden as project leader of the Interreg Va project SHE.

The speakers will present in their own language. Interpreters will also be present at this digital meeting for simultaneous translation into German and Dutch.
