EMR Conference environmental health

22 June 2023

On Thursday 22 June 2023 we are delighted to invite you to a conference on the environmental health in the Euroregion Meuse Rhine (EMR).

This physical gathering will bring together experts, professionals, policymakers, and stakeholders from within and beyond the EMR. The primary objectives of the conference are to exchange and share experiences and knowledge on environmental health and climate change, discuss the impacts and challenges of environmental factors and climate change in the EMR, and analyse climate adaptation strategies regarding cross-border interfaces and cooperation opportunities.

By integrating health concerns in all policy areas, the conference aims to support local and regional actors in the coordination of strategies and project developments. Your participation in the conference will help us achieve a better understanding of the environmental health and climate change challenges faced by the EMR.

The conference will focus on several issues, including climate change and heat, various environmental risk factors and their health impacts, burden of diseases and environmental justice, and creating a healthy living environment. The central theme of the conference is to make effective connections and promote a healthy living environment across borders through joint and harmonised messages in a climate-conscious manner.

We look forward to your participation in this informative and engaging event.
