SFC Activities Conference

November 23, 2017

On Thursday  November 23, 2017, the euregional project Senior Friendly Communities (SFC)  will present its buffet of activities during the

SFC Activities Conference.

This takes place in the Euregio Meuse-Rhin (EMR): a cross-border cooperation between 9 Euregional partners and 32 Belgian, German and Dutch municipalities. The aim is to create user-friendly municipalities for senior citizens within the EMR.

The last few months we focused on analysis. We examined how participating municipalities currently support their elderly with an onset of age-related dementia or depression and their informal caregivers. The Conference will be an opportunity to come back to this analysis phase and present the buffet of activities. The activities of this buffet address the mental health of seniors, with particular attention to dementia and age-related depression. The participating municipalities can choose a set of tailor-made activities and implement them in their own municipality at a later stage of the project. In addition, there will be a number of interesting Euregional speakers. The day will be complemented by opportunities for cross-border networking.

This project is supported by Interreg V-A Euregio Meuse-Rhine program.
