euPrevent PROFILE – Networkmeetings Belgian Limburg & South Limburg (NL)

An important aspect of the work on the PROFILE project is to collect, exchange and combine knowledge from the different regions on the topic of loneliness among older people.

As there is a lot of expertise on this topic in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine, the project partners of the PROFILE project are particularly pleased that two network meetings with various experts from South Limburg (NL) and Belgian Limburg took place on 17 May and 23 June.

In a first online event on 17 May, the participants were given an overview of the goals and activities of the PROFILE project.

On 23 June, participants and project partners finally had the opportunity to meet in person. In the course of several workshops, different practical approaches to the issue of loneliness among older people were exchanged. It was also about getting a feeling for how to facilitate the daily work on this issue for professionals and volunteers within the project.

The project partners would like to thank the many committed participants from the region and look forward to taking the PROFILE project forward together and developing sustainable solutions against loneliness in old age.
