The latest update to the Euregional Health Atlas (EHA), an essential platform for cross-border health data, is now live. This release includes the findings of the Youth Euregional Scan (YES) 2023, which provides valuable insights into the health and well-being of young people in the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion (EMR) and, for the first time, in the Rhine-Meuse-North Euroregion (ERMN).
Since 2019, euPrevent has been using the Euregional Health Atlas to present cross-border data for the EMR. Now, with the addition of ERMN data, the platform enables a more comprehensive view of health across these two border regions. The 2023 YES survey – conducted in collaboration with 14 healthcare organizations across Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands – reveals that over one-third of youth in these areas face mental health challenges, including loneliness and stress. GGD Zuid Limburg has been instrumental in ensuring that this critical data is incorporated into the Euregional Health Atlas.
The Euregional Health Atlas’s updated design offers enhanced user-friendliness and presents data from both Euroregions, covering topics from youth mental health to demographics. This resource is essential for policymakers and organizations dedicated to tailoring health measures for border residents.
