euPrevent PROFILE – Panel Discussion Berlin
July 18, 2022

On 14.06.2022, the Loneliness Competence Network in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth organised the conference entitled “Gemeinsam aus der Einsamkeit” in Berlin. Around 200 interested people took part in the conference. These included mainly social work professionals, committed people, politicians, researchers and representatives from welfare associations and other projects and organisations.

In an international panel discussion, the project coordinator of our euPrevent PROFILE project, Marja Veenstra (University of Maastricht), had the opportunity to bring the results of our work  into a discussion with the Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Lisa Paus, and many other international experts.

The discussion focused on the exchange of experiences, research, political processes and best practice examples from the international arena in preventing and combating loneliness.

We invite you to get an impression of the conference and our contribution to the panel discussion here and to have a look at the website of the “Kompetenznetz Einsamkeit”.
