Data in the EMR

Within this cross border collaboration organizations of the Euregio Meuse-Rhein (EMR)

• share,

• collect and

• compare data of various sources on an euregional level.

Programs of euPrevent can use this collaboration in order to adapt better to the challenges the regions in the EMR face.

Health information is the foundation of strong health systems.

All WHO Member States agreed on this in a 2007 World Health Assembly resolution.

Much of the health information gathered for cross border collaboration is still dispersed, incomplete and difficult to access. Since health issues are not constrained by country borders, there is a strong need to compare health information at a cross-border level.

Supported by „Data in the EMR“ programs can deal with modern society’s health challenges in a cross-border setting and develop effective health policies and projects.
