On behalf of euPrevent, Netherlands Statistics (CBS) and GGD Zuid Limburg, we would like to invite you to the kick-off meeting “Building an Euregional data infrastructure” on 8 and 9 December 2016 in Verviers (B).
This meeting is organized for employees of the organizations who are directly involved in building a Euregional data infrastructure. Aim is to get to know each other, each other’s organizations and working processes and to make arrangements for future cooperation.
Collecting cross-border information is challenging and euPrevent, Statistics Netherlands and GGD Zuid Limburg cordially invite you to join us on 8 and 9 December to make a head start in this huge challenge!
Our kick-off meeting, which will take place at the Van der Valk Hotel Verviers , will commence on 8 December before lunch and finish on 9 December after lunch.
Collection, comparison and visualization of Euregional data is of great importance in order to enhance the health of the citizens in the EMR.
On the 8th and 9th of december we will come together in Verviers to get to know each other (the players in this field) and to explore the possibilities for cross-border collaboration on data projects in the EMR.
Global program
Thursday 8 december
Friday 9 december
What we will expect from you
During the afternoon session we will focus (among other things) on the similarities and differences between data collection in the different EMR regions (collection, management, authorization, local/national data).
Goal is to explore the usability, availability and comparability of regional data in cross-border health data projects in the EMR.
We will expect from you to represent your region and explain how specific indicators are gathered and managed in your region. Attached to this e-mail you will find an overview of all the indicators that might be used in future projects. For this meeting we will focus mainly on ‘obesity’ and ‘dementia’. We do not expect a prepared presentation. We will work with this information during the afternoon session.
